Joe Biden Apologizes To Broad He Called “A Hot Piece Of Ass”
Concord, New Hampshire
In a press conference today in Concord, New Hampshire Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden expressed regret for sexist remarks made earlier in his career. In newly resurfaced C-SPAN footage from 1992, the then senator appeared before the senate floor to voice support for legislation that would make it easier for banks to repossess people’s homes. In those remarks Biden referred to a credit card industry lobbyist named Debbie as “a hot piece of ass”. The video quickly went viral, sparking outrage on social media and raising concerns as to whether the 76-year-old is out of touch when it comes to gender concerns in a party that has increasingly moved leftward following the election of Donald Trump.
“It was wrong” the former Vice-president told reporters at a Granite State pancake breakfast “I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to broads everywhere for my insensitive comments. I can promise you I will do everything in my power to make the Democratic Party an inclusive organization where dames are respected. I’ll take some questions now. Let’s start with the chicks. Ladies first, am I right?”
Biden then fielded questions from the press starting with a reporter he called “the girl with the big gazongas”. In the brief Q&A the candidate stressed his appeal to moderates and his ability to heal the country after an administration marked by divisiveness. Channeling Barack Obama, the Vice-President launched into a soaring oration decrying the bitter partisanship that has “torn our country apart”.
“We need to get back to civility. We need to realize that there is far more that unites us than divides us. We coach little league in blue states and we have a whole lot of fine MILFS in those red states. We need someone who can bring people together. Whether it’s cock-teasing shrews from Oklahoma, or old battle axes from South Carolina, whether it’s slutty little nymphets from New Jersey or ripe, mature cougars from Arizona, the time has come to say that we are all Americans and we all want the best for our country!”
Despite the fallout, it appears that the gaffe has not adversely effected Biden’s favorability rating as most polls show him leading fellow Democratic contenders by double-digits.
