Corey Booker Announces Bid For Presidency With Inspiring Ad For Celebrex™
In what is sure to be momentous news for the 2020 Presidential Election Senator Corey Booker (D, NJ)
officially announced his bid for the White House in an inspiring ad for Celebrex™.
“Growing old shouldn’t stop you from getting out and enjoying life. Staying active can actually ease arthritis symptoms, but it can be hard to get out when you have arthritis. Just one two hundred milligram Celebrex tablet per day can help relieve pain and inflammation so you can get out and stay in motion,” Booker said, in an ad featuring soothing pastel colors and footage of smiling elderly people playing softball and enjoying the company of relatives at a picnic. “Don’t let arthritis stand in your way. Ask your doctor if Celebrex is right for you.”
Entering an already crowded field of Democratic candidates could prove a challenge for the 49 year old lawmaker. Some critics have questioned the Senator’s apparent close ties to the pharmaceutical industry citing a January 11, 2017 vote against a budgetary resolution that would have created a mechanism to promote lower prices by importing drugs from Canada. Marcia Simmons an activist from the grassroots organization We Can Do Better upon hearing of Booker’s announcement stated “Booker? He’s bought and paid for. He’s one of the greatest recipients of campaign donations from the pharmaceutical industry”.
Such accusations are flatly denied by Booker and party insiders. Sheila Thompson, a senior Democratic Party strategist countered this narrative stating “that characterization is deeply unfair. Mr. Booker is progressive committed to reform in the healthcare system. Although he has indeed received campaign contributions from the pharmaceutical industry, people don’t seem to realize that this a major industry in New Jersey and provides jobs to many residents. While Booker on occasion has received money from these groups, I can assure you that he is his own man and his words will be his own during this campaign”.
“When it comes to arthritis even heading out the front door to get your morning paper can be a chore,” Booker said in a crowded auditorium near the end of the Celebrex™ commercial announcing his candidacy. So don’t wait a minute longer. If you have arthritis there is reason to celebrate”. As Booker ended his stump speech the crowd began chanting “Celebrex, Celebrex C’mon and Celebrate” as a massive American flag unfurled and red, white and blue balloons dropped from the rafters.
